Zhengzhou Jinquan is currently constructing a major mining project in Gansu Province. Specifically, the installation phase features a state-of-the-art Gold Desorption Electrolysis system. This key technology will allow the mine to dramatically scale up its precious metal recovery. Consequently, the site expects to hit a massive annual production rate of 10 tons of refined gold.

The Gold Desorption Electrolysis System

In modern processing plants, activated carbon attracts dissolved gold from ore slurry. However, operators must strip this carbon to recover the actual metal.

First, the high-temperature Gold Desorption Electrolysis system strips the gold from the loaded carbon into a concentrated liquid. Next, the electrowinning system passes an electric current through this liquid. As a result, the gold deposits cleanly onto steel wool cathodes.

Because of this automated design, the system cleanses 12 tons of gold-bearing carbon every single day. Therefore, the upstream mine must process massive volumes of ore to sustain this high rate of carbon circulation.

Smelting the Recovered Gold

Once operators recover the gold on the cathodes, they wash and dry the material. Finally, they feed this mixture into a high-temperature smelting furnace.

During the smelting process, operators melt the gold slime along with chemical fluxes. Consequently, impurities separate into a waste layer called slag. This step leaves behind high-purity gold bullion that meets strict market standards.

In fact, an annual output of 10 tons of refined gold marks a massive economic milestone. This volume represents hundreds of millions of dollars in market value. Thus, this refinery ranks among the most significant precious metal production facilities in the entire region.

Engineering and Environmental Safety

Zhengzhou Jinquan specializes in metallurgical engineering and equipment manufacturing. Because they are managing the construction phase, the site will feature highly automated systems. In addition, their modern designs focus heavily on energy efficiency.

Furthermore, modern gold recovery projects must balance high production yields with strict environmental standards. Consequently, the engineering team implements closed-loop systems to minimize waste.

After the desorption process finishes, the barren carbon undergoes thermal regeneration. As a result, the plant can reuse the carbon multiple times, which drastically reduces operating costs. Finally, modern scrubbers capture harmful furnace emissions. Therefore, the plant protects the surrounding environment while maximizing its metal recovery.
