Improving Silver Electrolysis Efficiency Through High Current Density

To advance silver electrolysis technology, increasing current density is critical. However, this must not compromise silver quality (National Standard Grade 1) or equipment performance. Conventional electrolytic cells face challenges under high current density. Their traditional electrolyte circulation causes severe concentration polarization. This lowers silver powder quality.

Additionally, standard cells struggle with high current density in other ways. Their current conduction and electrode connections often overheat, damaging equipment.

We solved the concentration polarization issue by improving ion diffusion. Stronger electrolyte circulation was key. Using foreign technology as a reference, we redesigned the cell structure. The new system ensures efficient electrolyte flow. Even at high current densities (650–750 A/m²), it produces Grade 1 silver.

Our upgraded cell offers major advantages. At the same volume, it doubles production capacity. For the same output, it cuts silver trapped in electrolyte. This reduces working capital needs. Fewer devices are required, lowering maintenance costs.
