Refining Process Principles
Palladium Refining
First, we dissolve the palladium and precipitate it. Then, we form an ammonia complex, acidify it to precipitate again, and finally reduce it using hydrazine hydrate.
Platinum Refining
This process begins with dissolution and platinum precipitation, followed by calcination. Subsequently, we carry out hydrolysis and filtration, remove palladium, precipitate platinum again, and then calcine the product.
General Refining Steps
We dissolve the material and then selectively precipitate target metals. After that, we reduce them with formic acid, and finally apply calcination and hydrogen reduction.
Rhodium Refining
First, we leach and distill the ruthenium-containing material while absorbing the product in a hydrochloric acid-ethanol solution. Then, we precipitate ruthenium powder from the absorption liquid. Finally, we calcine it and reduce it with hydrogen.
Iridium Refining
We start by separating impurities through alkali fusion and then dissolve the material in aqua regia. Next, we perform oxidation precipitation and re-dissolve the material in aqua regia. Afterwards, we remove additional impurities using sulfide, followed by oxidation precipitation and calcination reduction. In the final stage, we calcine and cool the product to obtain iridium oxide powder.
